MBF Awards $39,500 in Grant Funding
to Local Justice Related Causes

Norristown, PA (December 12, 2017) At  a brief ceremony held in conjunction with the Joint Holiday Gathering of the Montgomery Bar Foundation and Montgomery Bar Association Community Outreach Committee, Montgomery Bar Foundation distributed $39,500 in grant checks to local organizations that serve to advance the cause of justice in our community.  Recipients of this year’s Bar Foundation Grants included Legal Aid of Southeastern PA, Laurel House, MCAP: The Montgomery Child Advocacy Project, The Women’s Center of Montgomery County and Victim Services Center of Montgomery County.  The Montgomery Bar Foundation is one of the few remaining sources of funding for organizations like these, that provide free legal representation and services to local residents faced with poverty, abuse, neglect and discrimination.  As public funding for these vital services continues to dwindle, members of our legal community, community partners, and justice-minded residents are encouraged to support the Montgomery Bar Foundation, so that it may continue to deliver on its Mission: to improve, facilitate and support justice and fair treatment for all.  Grant funding was again made possible through the generous support of the Montgomery Bar Foundation’s Fellows and others who support the cause of justice in our community.
